Chapter 162: Another Variable

Liu Ruyan slept in the small hotel for an unknown period of time before Lin Jie hurried over.

"Are you still there?" Lin Jie asked Liu Sheng as he entered the room.

"Yes, I was asking you when you would be back. Now you haven't come out for an hour. You must have fallen asleep. Brother, who is this? Is she your new sister-in-law?"

Liu Sheng looked at Lin Jie. He already had a guess in his mind, but he just wanted to confirm it again so that he could decide on his attitude towards Liu Ruyan.

"Don't talk nonsense. She was captured by the Japanese and bought in Sakura House. I redeemed her. Okay, I'll go in and talk to her. Let's go for a stroll."

"Brother, I got it. I'll be back in two hours. Is that enough?" Liu Sheng turned around and slipped away with a grin.

Lin Jie knocked on the inner door, then pushed it open and saw Liu Ruyan sleeping soundly. She must have not had a good sleep for a long time.

Lin Jie returned home in the afternoon, washed up, went into Ye Wulian's room and fell asleep.

"Did your husband drink wine last night?"

Gangcun called at around 5pm. "Mr. Lin, come to Sakura Pavilion to find me now. I want to discuss something with you."
