Chapter 145 Qin Family Spent One Night
Chapter 145 Qin Family Spent One Night
Qin Men spent an entire night reviewing the strange points about his previous relationship that Lu Renkui and the system WQBYRZM had compiled.
After finishing reading, Qin Men rubbed his head and fell into a deep sleep.
After sleeping for two hours, the alarm clock rang, and Qin Men got up with a yawn. He picked up his phone, intending to add a little fun to his boring morning routine.
Qin Men opened her phone, and what caught her eye before Douyin was the huge red message notification in the upper left corner of WeChat next to Douyin.
Qin Men clicked on it and found that it was a friend request from Jin Youan.
Jin Youan posted the time Qin Men was going to meet with Luo Yingying, tentatively scheduled for this afternoon.
After seeing the message, Qin Men did not accept Jin Youan's friend request. He simply replied "I understand" and then went to watch videos.
Qin Men arrived at the classroom as usual and saw Jiang Qiuyue, who had arrived early, sitting in the first row reading a book.
"Good morning, Qiuyue." Qin Men tossed his schoolbag to the seat to Jiang Qiuyue's left, and without even going over to her, he jumped over the table and into the room.
"What are you looking at?" Qin Men leaned closer, and as she expected, Jiang Qiuyue was previewing the content of the next lesson.
After exchanging a few words, the two of them each started reading their books.
After reading for a while, Jiang Qiuyue closed the book, took off her glasses and placed them next to her. She then crossed her arms, rested them on her arms, and squinted at Qin Men, saying, "I got up a little early this morning, and I went to bed too late last night. I'll sleep a little longer, and when the teacher comes, wake me up."
"Okay." Qin Men said, flipping the page over again.
Jiang Qiuyue closed her eyes, but she wasn't actually asleep. She was still thinking about the idea she'd had on her birthday—if she confessed to Qin Men, would he agree?
Two voices were arguing in my mind.
The first opinion is: "Go confess to Qin Men and beg her a bit more; maybe she'll soften and agree."
The second voice said, "This is simply moral blackmail, and once the two fall out, they won't even have a chance to be friends anymore—just like how the Qin family is treating Luo Yingying now."
Then came the first voice: "Qin Men broke up with Luo Yingying because she discovered Luo Yingying's true nature. I didn't lie to her or hide anything from her. Why should we worry that Qin Men will treat me the same way they treat Luo Yingying?"
The second voice fell silent for a moment, then reappeared: "If I'm truly certain that I'll end up with the Qin family, then why should I pre-plan what will happen after we break up?"
Thinking of this, the first voice disappeared, but Jiang Qiuyue still hoped to explain her feelings to the Qin family.
However, Jiang Qiuyue couldn't help herself and began to imagine various scenarios of being rejected by the Qin family.
Just as Jiang Qiuyue was working on the third one, she felt someone poke her cheek. When she opened her eyes, she saw Qin Men lying on the table, smiling and facing her.
"The teacher is here!" Qin Men's eyes shifted slightly towards the podium.
Jiang Qiuyue quickly got up, covered her ears with her hair, then picked up the book and turned to the part the teacher was going to talk about.
The morning classes passed quickly. Qin Men checked her phone and saw another message from Jin Youan saying that Luo Yingying was already waiting for her at the most secluded coffee shop on campus.
Qin Men sighed: Wasn't it supposed to be in the afternoon? Why did we go to wait at noon?
There was no other way; lunch had to be postponed. Qin Men packed his schoolbag and said to Jiang Qiuyue, "Qiuyue, I have something to do at noon. You can go eat by yourself first."
"Is something wrong? What is it?" Jiang Qiuyue suddenly felt like asking for some reason, and a strange sense of unease rose in her heart.
"I'm going to see someone." Qin Men gave an excuse, afraid that Jiang Qiuyue would ask who she was going to see. She packed her schoolbag, stepped over the desk, and ran out of the classroom. "You go eat first. Eat a big lunch. You don't have any classes in the afternoon anyway."
Jiang Qiuyue became suspicious and quickly packed her schoolbag before chasing after them.
Just as she was about to catch up with Qin Men, Jiang Qiuyue stopped and made sure she could still see Qin Men, who was caught up in the crowd, before continuing to follow.
Qinmen turned left and right, always heading towards the direction with the most people.
Jiang Qiuyue didn't give up either, keeping a close eye on Qin Men's bun hairstyle, and followed behind Qin Men.
If they had continued chasing like this, they wouldn't have lost her, but suddenly a boy wearing a baseball cap and a mask accidentally bumped into Jiang Qiuyue.
"Excuse me." The boy quickly apologized, then pulled his baseball cap down low and left.
Jiang Qiuyue stumbled from the impact, and when she looked up again, she found that Qin Men was gone.
Seeing that he had made it impossible for Jiang Qiuyue to find the Qin family, Gu Changlin took out his phone and typed a message to Luo Yingying.
Upon receiving the news, Luo Yingying saw the message from Gu Changlin and a smile appeared on her lips.
Green Pomelo is a Little Sour (Luo Yingying): You did a great job. It was worth all my efforts to sow discord between Lin Yuqing and Chen Weiran.
Stormy Weather (Gu Changlin): That's fine. How is the relationship between Lin Yuqing and Chen Weiran now?
Qingyou is a little sour: What else can happen? They've already broken up.
Qingyou is a little sour: Let's seize this opportunity and make the two of them fall out directly, but it took me a lot of effort.
Stormy Weather: I will, thank you for your help these past few days.
Gale and Storm: If you want to get Qin Clan back, I can lend you a hand.
Upon seeing Gu Changlin's message, Luo Yingying scoffed disdainfully—she didn't think Gu Changlin could be of any help. After all, following someone was such a simple matter; it was rather useless of him to be caught every time.
However, this fool still had some use, so Luo Yingying replied rather politely.
Qingyou is a little sour: Really? Then thank you so much. I hope we can work together happily from now on.
After sending that message, someone pushed open the door and entered the coffee shop. Luo Yingying looked up and saw Qin Men had come in.
Qin Men was still wearing the same outfit as yesterday, looking no different from yesterday. The only difference was that the hair tie on his head, which was a gardenia hair tie yesterday, had been changed to a lily of the valley hair tie.
Qin Men glanced around the store and saw Luo Yingying waving at her, then walked over expressionlessly.
He tossed his bag onto the seat. Qin Men also sat down, legs crossed: "What else do you want to talk about?"
Luo Yingying rested her chin on her hands and said with a smile, "Qin Clan..."
"If you say those same old nonsense again, I'm leaving right now." Qin Men waved his hand impatiently at Luo Yingying. "I'm in a hurry to eat."
"And I also found your alternate account," Qin Men said, fiddling with his fingers as he leaned against the wall and glanced at Luo Yingying. "I just casually picked out two or three videos from when we were dating and watched them."
"So you don't need to pretend with me anymore. I know exactly what kind of person you are." Qin Men slammed his right hand heavily on the coffee table. "Just say what you have to say."
Seeing Qin Men's attitude, Luo Yingying stopped pretending and immediately revealed the purpose of her visit:
"How could you agree to break up with me so quickly? And leave so fast!" Luo Yingying stirred the coffee in her cup. The small spoon, coated with a layer of brass paint, jingled against the side of the ceramic cup.
Qin Men sneered—although he knew that the reason she agreed to break up with Luo Yingying so quickly and acted as if nothing had happened was because Lu Renkui was doing it for her. And Lu Renkui had never even dated Luo Yingying, so it would be strange if she had any negative emotions.
But that doesn't stop her from attacking Luo Yingying, does it?
“Because I was already disappointed in you,” Qin Men said, fiddling with her fingers again and glancing at the coffee shop employee who was eavesdropping on her conversation with Luo Yingying.
Seeing the coffee shop employee nervously retreat to the kitchen to work, Qin Men continued, "I came across your alternate account in the video. You mocked my family's modest background, mocked my friends for dressing like country bumpkins, and mocked me for being teased by you like a dog."
"Then I looked at your earlier works, and they were all mocking the people you dated."
"You laugh at their ugly appearance, you laugh at their poor family background, but they fight tooth and nail for a little bit of your love."
Qin Men turned to look at the glass window of the coffee shop, where Luo Yingying was clearly reflected, staring at her with a vicious gaze.
“If I had come across this alt account a year ago, I might have stayed by your side with that naive idea.” Qin Men rested his right arm on the table, propped his chin on his hand, and glanced at Jin You’an hiding at the entrance of the coffee shop. “Just like Jin You’an, I would have stayed with that inexplicable idea of redemption.”
"You seem to know that people like us will follow you around without complaint. Because you've mocked people like us more than once in the videos, and every partner you've dated has this in common."
At this point, Qin Men glanced sideways at Luo Yingying's hand, where several veins were faintly visible on the back of her hand holding the small spoon. They were extremely noticeable against her fair skin.
"But you know disappointment accumulates." Qin Men looked up at the ceiling, at the strange chandeliers in the coffee shop. "In the past year or so of our relationship, I've been the one making concessions for you the whole time. You're still like a child, only knowing how to take and not how to give back. Plus, I found out about your alternate account, so it was probably only a matter of time before you broke up with me."
"So what can I do? I can only learn to detach myself from this relationship."
"There's another reason. Perhaps in our relationship, sympathy played a larger role, while love was practically nonexistent."
"But I confused sympathy with love, so during the year or so we were dating, I was so pathetic as to convince myself to tolerate all your behavior that crossed my bottom line."
"Once I realized that what I felt for you was actually pity, then I didn't need to be sad for you, my first love, right?"
Qin Men turned to Luo Yingying and gave her a standard fake smile: "After all, instead of being heartbroken over something like you, I'd rather think about which hot pot restaurant offers the best value for money after a breakup."
Luo Yingying didn't say anything, but continued stirring her coffee. She had already stirred the coffee in the cup into a small vortex.
"Oh, right, I have another surprise for you," Qin Men said cheerfully. "I've recommended your alternate account to Jin Youan."
