Chapter 18 Forbidden Power
Chapter 18 Forbidden Power
Some time ago, Dr. Yao developed the Magus Power System.
From that day on, robots began to walk the streets of the city late at night. However, since they did not attack citizens, they did not attract the attention of the GUTS team.
A few days later, the Magus system was installed on the aircraft and test flights began.
Therefore, Lina, a member of the Victory Team, was chosen as the pilot to travel to outer space to conduct test flights of the Magus propulsion system.
After a series of tests, everything turned out alright.
"The data has been recorded. I'm heading back to base right away," Lina said into the communicator.
However, on her return, Lina saw an uninhabited island floating in space.
Lina reported the situation, but the Victory Team's radar did not show any islands, leading them to believe that Lina was too tired and was hallucinating.
In the middle of the night, Daigo and Shinjo were patrolling in their car when they suddenly spotted a strange figure ahead. They got out to intercept it. The figure heard Shinjo call out and turned to walk towards him.
Daigo discovers through scanning that the other party is a robot without any life response.
Upon hearing that it was a robot, Shinjo fired without hesitation. The robot was shot and fell to the ground.
The two were also full of questions when they saw the robot that fell to the ground with a single shot.
What can such a frail robot do?! Who does it think it is?!
Daigo went up to check and found that the robot was empty.
"Then how does it move?" Another question mark appeared above their heads.
If they couldn't figure it out, they stopped thinking about it. The two of them tidied up the scattered robots and took them back to headquarters.
From that day on, all the robots of unknown origin were taken back to the base by the GUTS team.
On this day, the Victory Team's radar detected an island floating in space.
Upon receiving the notification, everyone gathered in the command room and, watching the images on the screen, realized that the island Lina had seen that day was real.
Captain Junction then dispatched Shinjo to investigate in a fighter jet. At that moment, the island unleashed a lightning strike on the ground, causing a massive explosion!
Shinjou saw the island attacking the ground, so he approached it and opened fire in return. However, the lasers hit the island without causing any damage, and the island even sent out a robot to pursue Shinjou. Shinjou was about to crash into it and had to make an emergency escape. The robot then collided with the plane, causing an explosion. Shinjou, however, safely returned to Earth in the escape pod.
In response to the island's attack on Earth, the TPC held a supreme meeting and unanimously decided to send the Victory Team to launch the Atdis.
The Atlas is a giant mothership built by TPC. It is over 100 meters long and can reach Mach 3 within the atmosphere. In space, using the Magus propulsion system, it can reach Mach 42. Its weapons include conventionally powerful laser cannons and the powerful Drak cannons. It can even launch Magus cannons using the Magus propulsion system. It can carry the Flying Swallow.
The Victory Team prepares to board the Atdis and head into space to attack the island.
However, the scattered robots inside the warehouse came back to life one by one and began to wreak havoc on the base.
On their way to the spaceship, the group encountered many robots that were destroying the base. So they attacked them while continuing their journey to the spaceship.
Meanwhile, the islands are launching increasingly frequent attacks on the ground, causing enormous damage!
A notification came from higher-ups, ordering the Victory Team to immediately launch the Atdis and attack.
"Leave this to me and Daigo, you guys get on the Atlas quickly," Yang Guang said upon hearing the notification, knowing there was no time to lose.
"Alright, I'll leave it to you." Zongfang led Lina, Horii, and Shinjo into the Atdis. Yang Guang and Daigo began cleaning the robots.
In the end, the group successfully piloted the Atdis away from the base and flew into space.
At this moment, all the robots flew and crashed through the wall, arriving at the seabed and forming a giant robot. Then they headed towards the TPC headquarters.
Seawater poured in through the breached wall. Yang Guang and Daigo were submerged, but the water was harmless enough to allow them to swim outside the base. As they prepared to reach the surface, they saw a massive robot approaching the base. Yang Guang then gestured for Daigo to handle it, saying, "It's time to test your training results."
Daigo then transforms into Ultraman Tiga and arrives in front of the giant robot.
The robot ignored Tiga and headed straight for headquarters.
"Hmm, what's wrong? You look down on me, Di!"
Tiga stepped forward and hugged the robot, but the robot easily broke free and continued forward regardless.
Tiga grabbed the robot's leg, threw it to the ground, and mounted it, unleashing a barrage of punches. Unfortunately for him, the robot was not only unharmed but also easily grabbed Tiga and threw him off.
Tiga realized his own power was insufficient, so he transformed into a powerful form and stepped forward to stop the robot.
Seeing that Tiga was relentless, the robot simply locked him up and prepared to self-destruct.
Ultraman Tiga is in danger!
Seeing this, Yang Guang had no choice but to transform into Ultraman Geed to come to the rescue.
First, rescue Tiga from the man's locked position. Lift the robot up and fly it out of the sea, continuing into the air. Before the robot explodes, forcefully throw it into the air.
Boom! The robot self-destructs.
The two Osakas transformed back into human form, reunited on the sea, and reported to headquarters.
"Headquarters, Headquarters, Daigo and I are at sea, neither of us is injured. Please send a rescue ship to pick us up."
After a while, Ye Rui came out in a speedboat, picked up Yang Guang and Da Gu and took them back. He also found a piece of robot fragment on the sea and took it back to study.
Meanwhile, in outer space, the Atedis launched an attack on the nameless island. The island appeared unharmed and even sent numerous robots to attack the Atedis.
Naturally, the group couldn't just stand by and take the hits, so Shinjo and Horii took to the field in small attack aircraft.
At this point, it would still be 30 minutes before the Atlas attacked again.
Shinjo and Horii launched an attack outside, drawing the little robot's attention away.
However, as a scientist, Horii's piloting skills were naturally no match for those of the undeserving pilot, Shinjo. He was soon hit by a small robot and had to return to the Atlas.
As expected of a "death-defying" pilot, Shinjo either dies or the enemy dies. This time, Shinjo survived and destroyed all the remaining small robots before returning to the Atdis.
The three piloted the Atedis close to the island and attempted to attack, but as soon as they got close, the Atedis malfunctioned and was sucked into the island.
Headquarters was extremely anxious when they saw the Atlas being sucked into the mechanical island.
At this point, Ye Rui also obtained the answer through his research on the robot fragments.
These robots, which call themselves a protection system, are designed to prevent the activation of prohibited power sources and to destroy them.
The so-called "forbidden power" was, after much deliberation, concluded that it should be the Magus power system.
If that's the case, how can we rescue everyone trapped on the island?
After thinking for a while, Ye Rui came up with a solution. That was to make the Magus system rotate in the reverse direction to obtain the opposite force, so that they would cancel each other out.
So Yang Guang piloted the test machine into space and arrived at the mechanical island.
"Landing successful. I will contact the Atlas immediately," Yang Guang reported.
Yang Guang first used a bomb to blast a hole in the mechanical island, then drove in wires to connect the Atlas.
"Lina, Munakata, Horii, Shinjo, can you hear me? How are you all?" Yang Guang contacted them.
"Yang Guang, where are you now?" Lina asked.
“I’m on the island right now. Listen, you all need to start the Magus power system with me. I’ll operate it from the outside in reverse so that the power cancels out. Then you can get out,” Yang Guang explained.
